Dive into discovery this summer! Join us for a fascinating evening as Dr. Stanton G. Belford shares his inspiring journey to becoming a marine biologist. From classroom beginnings to hands-on research exploring marine life and biodiversity, Dr. Belford will “unearth” the experiences, challenges, and opportunities that shaped his career in science. As an associate professor and researcher specializing in marine organisms and DNA analysis, he brings real-world insight into the wonders of ocean life. This Summer Reading event will be held Tuesday, July 21 from 5:30 to 6:30 PM at Giles Heritage Theatre in First National Bank. All ages are invited to come explore the path to a career in marine biology and discover what lies beneath the surface of the sea!
