About Us

The Giles County Trail of Tears Interpretive Center in Pulaski, Tennessee, serves as a place of reflection, education, and remembrance of one of the most significant and tragic events in American history. Located along the original route traveled during the Trail of Tears, the center honors the thousands of Cherokee who were forcibly removed from their homelands in the 1830s.

Through informative exhibits, historical markers, and a peaceful outdoor setting, the Interpretive Center provides visitors with a deeper understanding of the hardships endured during the journey, as well as the resilience and cultural legacy of the Cherokee people. It stands as both an educational resource and a memorial, inviting the community and visitors alike to learn from the past while paying tribute to those who were affected.
